Application Guidelines

Applications will be open November 5th through December 11th. Our application guidelines can also be viewed here.

GENERAL NOTES:
- Applicants MUST be 18 years or older at the time of application.
- Applicants may apply for more than one position, but will only be accepted for one.
- We cannot consider your application if we are unable to access your samples. Please ensure all links are working.
- Pieces that do not fit our guidelines (below) will not be judged.WRITERS:
Collared will have 8 writer positions, of which 6 are available through applications.- Two samples of your work are required, with a third piece and a portfolio as optional submissions.
- Each sample must be at least 2k words, and no sample should be longer than 4k words.
- At least one sample must feature BKDK or DKBK.
- At least one sample must be a complete piece of work between 2–4k words.
- At least one sample must be NSFW.
- All pieces must be tagged appropriately, as applicable. There will be a section in the application form for this.
- Excerpts are allowed, but all samples must be able to be read as standalone.
- Ao3 submissions are allowed, though Google Drive submissions are preferred. Links to Twitter threads will not be considered—please copy threads to a document for submission.ARTISTS:
Collared will have 20 page artist positions, of which 15 are available through applications.- Three samples of your work are required, with an optional portfolio.
- At least one sample must feature BKDK or DKBK.
- At least one sample must have a full background.
- At least one sample must be NSFW.
- All pieces must be tagged appropriately, as applicable. There will be a section in the application form for this.
- Twitter links are allowed, though Google Drive links are preferred.MERCH ARTISTS:
Collared will have 4 page artist positions, of which 3 are available through applications.- Three samples of your work are required, with an optional portfolio. Merchandise items are not required, but are highly encouraged.
- At least one sample must feature BKDK or DKBK.
- At least one sample must have a full background if you wish to create a print.
- All pieces must be tagged appropriately, as applicable. There will be a section in the application form for this.
- Twitter links are allowed, though Google Drive links are preferred.

WRITERS:
Writers will be expected to create a piece between 2k and 4k words. Writers may also have the opportunity to contribute to a PDF add-on revolving around aftercare.ARTISTS:
Artists will be expected to create two pages of art. This may be done as two separate pages of art, one two-page spread, or one two-page comic. Artists may also have the opportunity to contribute to a PDF add-on revolving around aftercare.MERCH ARTISTS:
Merch artists will be expected to create three pieces of merch.
